The main goal of this project is to establish the regulatory status, tasks, functions, and structure of the institution, which will enhance the accessibility and quality of specialized medical care for women and children.
As noted in the justification for the project, there is a need to create this center due to the high demand for specialized medical care in the Jalal-Abad region and neighboring areas. Currently, most specialized medical institutions are concentrated in the capital and Osh, making access difficult for residents of remote areas, increasing waiting times and the burden on republican hospitals, especially in cases of complications in obstetrics and pediatrics.
The center will provide high-quality medical-diagnostic and preventive care in the following areas:
- obstetrics and gynecology;
- neonatology;
- pediatrics;
- pediatric surgery;
- reproductive medicine and oncological screening;
- ensuring continuity between primary and inpatient medical care.
Furthermore, the center will serve as a clinical base for scientific and practical work and the professional development of healthcare workers in the field of motherhood and childhood protection.
The project also includes the establishment of a scientific center, which will not have the status of a legal entity, as well as the organization of a scientific council and a local ethics committee.
It is worth noting that in May of last year, the president of the country attended the opening of a new maternity ward and children's hospital in the Jalal-Abad region. The family of Kamchybek Tashiev, as mentioned, sold an oil depot, and the proceeds were directed towards the construction of a modern medical facility.
The Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood has been named after Aliyma Tashieva, the mother of Shairbek and Kamchybek Tashiev, who is recognized as a mother-heroine.
