Specialists from the Issyk-Kul Interdistrict Center for Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance conducted an inspection of the kitchen at the "Issyk-Kul Aurora" sanatorium.

Currently, this state enterprise "Issyk-Kul Aurora Sanatorium" is under the Administration of the President.

The inspection was prompted by information published on social media on January 23, 2026.

During the inspection, it was found that major renovation work is being carried out in the entrance area on the first floor of the facility. It was noted that the malfunctioning technological equipment, which had been reported in the media, has been dismantled. In its place, new equipment has been installed and is fully operational.

At the same time, violations were identified: plaster is falling from the ceiling in the inventory warehouse, corridors, and certain production workshops, humidity levels are elevated, and due to insufficient ventilation, mold has appeared on the ceiling surfaces.

As reported by the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, these factors indicate the need for major repairs in the kitchen areas. Additionally, during the inspection, the presence of cockroaches was found in the kitchen and food preparation areas. In this regard, recommendations were issued for cleaning and complete disinfection.

As a result of the inspection, based on the identified violations, a fine was imposed on the "Aurora" recreation center under part 1 of Article 214 ("Violation of the requirements of technical regulations, sanitary rules, hygiene standards, and other regulatory legal acts in the field of public health") of the Code of Offenses.
