The main focus was on the fact that the existing railway network could become a convenient and fast means of transportation for residents, especially during peak hours. Meeting participants considered options for integrating railway lines with existing public transport routes.
As part of the discussion, new bus routes were proposed to connect bus stations and railway stations with residential areas and key city facilities. This proposed solution aims to provide convenient transfer hubs and reduce the load on roadways.
Additionally, aspects of the digitalization of future transport were discussed, including the implementation of GPS monitoring for trains and displaying schedules for both railway and ground transport in real-time through the "My City" app.
As a result of the meeting, responsible agencies were tasked with working out the technical, logistical, and organizational details of the project. The city hall emphasizes that the development of alternative modes of transport will be an important part of the sustainable mobility strategy for Bishkek.
