
The competition, aimed at creating a unique design for the parade uniforms for participants of the opening ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games, has been announced by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Objectives of the competition
The main task is to identify an original design for parade attire, which should include elements of national style, comfort, aesthetics, and comply with the standards of the Brand Book of the VI World Nomad Games.
Who organizes the competition
The organizer is the Directorate for National Sports in collaboration with the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports.
Requirements for the design of the attire
The design of the parade uniform must include a headdress, outerwear, trousers (for men), and a dress in national style, as well as attributes of the VI World Nomad Games, while adhering to modern aesthetic trends. All participants must be the authors of their works. Sketches are accepted in both electronic form and as paper copies, as well as clothing samples made from appropriate materials.
Each sketch must be accompanied by a calculation of the materials and services required for one complete set.
A unified style and neat execution, harmonious color combinations.
Presence of elements reflecting national color and symbolism of the World Nomad Games.
Comfort and safety in wearing.
Available materials:
- Use of natural fabrics (cotton, wool, linen, silk) that are breathable and pleasant to the touch.
- The fabric density should be such that the product lasts long and is not see-through.
- Seams must be even and neat, without loose threads.
- External seams must be tidy, and the lining should not be skewed.
- Seams should not crack.
- Buttons and zippers must be securely sewn and function properly.
- Pockets should be deep and symmetrical, and loops should not unravel.
- The lining should not peek out from under the clothing.
- Clothing should fit well and return to its original shape after wearing.
- Labels should contain all necessary information regarding care and fabric composition.
How the competition will take place
Applications for participation are accepted until February 10, 2026.
The competition will take place in two stages:
The first stage is the qualifying round (based on sketches and descriptions).
The second stage is the final round (presentation of finished men's and women's attire).
At the final stage, the commission will evaluate the models based on established criteria.
Evaluation criteria
Originality of the idea and design.
Compliance with the theme and stated requirements.
Quality of materials and workmanship.
Aesthetics and integrity of the image.
Awards and conditions
Winners will receive certificates and cash prizes.
First place — 200,000 soms.
Additional conditions
The best works may be recommended for use at official events.
Copyrights for the best samples will be transferred to the Directorate and may only be used with their approval.
