In At-Bashy, the responsibility of parents was discussed following the death of a schoolgirl.
The reason for such an important discussion was a recent tragedy—the suicide of a minor girl in the area. This event became a turning point in the conversation.
Prosecutor Kubanychbek Nurullaev emphasized that the main problem lies in the lack of attention from parents. He noted that many families prioritize material concerns over the emotional well-being of their children. "The family is a reflection of society. All problems should be addressed primarily within the family. Parents need to be aware of their children's lives, their dreams, and worries. The responsibility for the psychological state of children lies with the parents," the prosecutor stated.
The influence of the internet was also discussed. Nurullaev pointed out that thoughtless use of smartphones can pose dangers. When parents give their children gadgets, they often do not monitor what content they consume and how it affects their fragile psyche.
The supervisory authority reminded that upbringing is not only a moral but also a legal responsibility. According to the Code of Offenses, parents bear administrative responsibility for the misdeeds of their children up to 16 years old, which may include fines.
The key points addressed to parents:
- Upbringing begins with personal example: children typically imitate their parents' behavior.
- School provides knowledge, while family lays the foundations: discipline and morals are instilled in childhood.
- It is necessary to create dialogue instead of criticism: trusting relationships will help children share their fears.
