At the first stage of preparing the document, public hearings were organized, where local residents became acquainted with the project, expressed their opinions, and suggested corrections. The general plan is a key document that defines the future development of infrastructure, including the construction and modernization of social facilities, as well as the rational use of land. Citizens have another month to submit new proposals, as every opinion is important for the final version of the plan.
As noted by Kutman Eraliev, the current general plan was adopted in 1982 and covered an area of only 352 hectares. The new plan is being developed with long-term prospects in mind and expands the covered area to 1869 hectares.
Currently, about 25,000 people live in the rural municipality:
- 20,000 in the village of Kurshab;
- more than 5,000 in the villages of Erdik and Shagym.
In developing the general plan, specialists take into account the natural demographic growth of the population.
A total of 13 million 54 thousand 200 soms has been allocated from the republican budget for the creation of the document. Topographic work was completed last year, and the final approval of the plan is expected in the second quarter of this year.
