On February 16, 2023, a new resource center called "Ene Üyü" ("Mother's House") was opened in Bishkek. This center is aimed at supporting women with children who find themselves in difficult life circumstances and at preventing social orphanhood.
It provides temporary housing, as well as psychological, legal, and social assistance. The center also helps mothers restore their documents and find employment.
Representatives from various organizations attended the opening, including the Jogorku Kenesh, the Ombudsman Institute, the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration, as well as international organizations, businesses, and media.
The Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration, Ainura Orozbaeva, emphasized the significance of this event, noting that it is an important step towards strengthening the support system for women and families.
She added, "This event marks an important stage in strengthening our support system for women and families in difficult situations. The new center will be a place where every woman can receive help and restore faith in her own strength."
Project representatives stated that the center is aimed at preserving families during crisis periods and preventing abandonment of newborns.
Kuduret Kaariyev, head of the Public Fund "Nurzaman," expressed the intention to continue supporting this project.
He noted, "We are looking for ways to provide systemic assistance to achieve real changes. This project is truly effective, and we plan to develop it throughout Kyrgyzstan."
Timur Teleuzhanov, executive director of the international fund "Ene uyuu," added that the creation of the new center is a long-term investment in the future of children and families.
At the end of the ceremonial event, guests cut the red ribbon and took a tour of the new center, getting acquainted with its operations and participating in various activities organized for them.
