GKNB: Former Employees Will Face Legal Consequences, There Is No Conflict Between Law Enforcement Agencies

As part of the joint actions of the military prosecutor's office and the main investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, an investigation has been initiated against some former employees of the State National Security Committee (GKNB). This is related to suspicions of abuse of official powers, as reported by the press center of the state committee.

According to the information provided, all activities were conducted in full compliance with the law and procedural norms. The leadership of the GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic was timely informed about the ongoing actions.

The State National Security Committee emphasizes that rumors of an alleged conflict between law enforcement agencies have no basis. "These claims are destructive in nature and aimed at undermining trust in state institutions," the official statement highlights.

All law enforcement agencies, including the GKNB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Prosecutor's Office, and the Military Prosecutor's Office, are working closely together to ensure national security and stability in the country.

"There are no 'untouchables' in the system of state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic. All employees, regardless of their position, experience, or past merits, bear personal responsibility before the law for their actions," the GKNB statement notes.

"The state will continue its work to strengthen discipline, increase transparency, and combat corruption among public servants. Citizens and the media are urged to refer only to official sources of information," the statement adds.
