According to Wildberries data, 72% of survey participants noted that the holiday is actively celebrated in their surroundings, 71% intend to celebrate it in 2026, and only 10% reported that March 8th is not celebrated in their circle.
As stated by Alexander Vorobyov, the director of Wildberries in Kyrgyzstan, "March 8th in our country is a warm and significant holiday. We observe that shoppers are planning ahead for gift purchases for their loved ones and are increasingly choosing online shopping as a convenient way to prepare for this day."
Associations with March 8th among Kyrgyz people include femininity, care, and respect for women (46%), flowers and gifts for loved ones (44%), spring and renewal (37%), as well as joy and positive emotions (29%).
Among men, 63% plan to give gifts, primarily to their mothers (84%), spouses (59%), and sisters (43%). Meanwhile, 69% of women also plan to give gifts, mainly to their mothers (83%), sisters (50%), and daughters (44%). Regarding financial expectations, 49% of respondents are ready to spend between 2,000 and 6,000 soms (the average budget is 5,000 soms), 21% plan to stay within 2,000 soms, and 30% intend to spend more than 6,000 soms.
