In 2026, Muslims in Kyrgyzstan will celebrate Kadir Night on the night of March 16-17, as confirmed by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the country. This night, known as the "Night of Decree," holds great significance during the month of Ramadan. According to beliefs, it is on this night that angels descend to earth to convey prayers to Allah. Believers typically spend this time in mosques, participating in prayers and awaiting the arrival of the holiest night of the year.

The price of a dozen eggs in stores in Kyrgyzstan has reached 160-170 soms. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry explains the price increase by the rising costs of products in Kazakhstan and Russia. The wholesale price for one egg has increased from 10 to 12 soms. Officials noted that this increase will help farmers recover after 2025, when low prices threatened small farms with bankruptcy.

Starting April 1, Russia will introduce a new SPOT system to control the flow of goods within the EAEU. Now, consignees in the Russian Federation will need to register documents and make a security payment two days before crossing the border. For this, carriers will require a special QR code confirming tax payments, which may complicate the work of Kyrgyz tailors, who have already faced cargo delays since the fall of 2025.

The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev, announced that the salary of a people's deputy is 58,432 soms. Each deputy also has a fund of 80,000 soms for official needs, which can cover expenses for car rentals, driver services, airline tickets, and office supplies. This statement was made to refute information about salaries of 100,000-150,000 soms circulated by some media outlets.

The proposal from parliament deputies to ban the import and re-registration of cars without catalytic converters was prompted by concerns about public health due to harmful emissions. However, ordinary drivers with such cars will not face fines. As of the end of 2025, about 1 million 910 thousand cars were registered in Kyrgyzstan, but accurate statistics on cars without filters are lacking.

At the same time, starting July 1, 2026, Kyrgyzstan will begin paying a monthly allowance called "Bala Irysy" to all children under three years old in the amount of 1,200 soms. The allowance will be provided regardless of the family’s income level. According to the National Statistical Committee, there are about 445 thousand children under three years old in the country.
