The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic recently returned from the Republic of Korea, where it participated in an experience exchange program on the implementation of modern "smart" agricultural technologies. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The group was led by Asel Kenenbaeva, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, and included representatives from departmental organizations such as the State Institution "AgroSmart," the State Enterprise "State Breeding Farm," as well as farmers from the dairy livestock and horticulture sectors. They were selected as part of the project "Development of Sustainable Agri-food Clusters," funded by the World Bank.
During the visit, the Kyrgyz delegation held meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Korea, the Ministry of Science and Information and Communication Technologies, as well as leading Korean organizations working in the field of digital agriculture.
The exchange program included tours of vertical and closed farms, as well as enterprises and research centers engaged in agricultural innovations and automation. Among the visited sites were Dawoon Co., Ltd. in Incheon, One Acre Farm in Yongin, Farm8, Plan T in Pyeongtaek, and the Korean Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB) in Daejeon.
Participants were able to familiarize themselves with advanced "smart" farming technologies and modern digital solutions applied in the agricultural sector.
Support for the implementation of this program was provided by the Korean Green Growth Trust Fund, the government of the Republic of Korea, and the World Bank.
The knowledge gained is expected to contribute to the implementation of modern technologies in Kyrgyzstan, increasing the efficiency of agricultural production and positively impacting the development of farms in the country.
