Elmyra Kachkeeva, a resident of the village of Petrovka in the Moscow district of the Chuy region, consistently earns 50,000 soms monthly thanks to dairy farming.

According to information provided by a Turmush correspondent, the Kachkeeva family moved to Petrovka from the southern regions of the country in 2014. Since then, they have focused on developing livestock farming, following the traditions of their ancestors. “My husband Bakyt is a veterinarian, and he is very knowledgeable about caring for livestock. I actively help him. We not only manage the farm but also raise four children and enjoy our grandchildren,” shares Elmyra.

Currently, their farm has three cows. Every morning, milk is collected by special gatherers. The products undergo quality checks, and the price is determined based on the fat content of the milk. With a price of 42 soms per liter and an average volume of 40 liters per day, Elmyra provides a fairly high income for her family.

Bakyt Köközov [Kokkozov] noted that to achieve success in livestock farming, it is essential to strictly adhere to veterinary standards: “Caring for animals requires daily attention. It is important not only to feed them but also to monitor their condition. The main threats include brucellosis, foot-and-mouth disease, trichophytosis, echinococcosis, and various helminthiases. Vaccination, maintaining cleanliness, and proper nutrition are key to preventing livestock deaths and ensuring product safety,” he added.

Responding to widespread social media rumors about “unknown diseases” in livestock, the farmer emphasized that the situation in their area is stable. He regularly conducts preventive measures, and his wife monitors sanitary standards during milking.

Farmers in the region sell raw milk to processing enterprises such as “Zheti-Baatyr,” “Ak-Sut,” “Ursus,” as well as to other small productions.

These enterprises operate under strict standards based on the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 724 dated December 2, 2024, and the decision of the Jogorku Kenesh. The following indicators are taken into account according to the norms:

- basic fat content: 3.4%.

- protein content: 2.8%.

According to local residents, the prices for milk from private milk trucks range from 40 to 45 soms per liter, depending on the quality of the raw material.

Nurbek Isakov, head of the veterinary, livestock development, pastures, and feed management of the Moscow district, confirmed that there have been no cases of livestock disease from “unknown diseases” in the area. Veterinary services conduct regular monitoring and planned vaccinations. Farmers have been instructed that the purchase price of milk should not fall below 38 soms in summer and 40 soms in winter (with a standard fat content of 3.4%).

The situation in the Panfilov district is also stable. Authorities emphasize that due to the border status of the region, special attention is paid to food security issues, and farmers are interested in maintaining a healthy herd, which directly affects their incomes.
