A round table titled "Green Entrepreneur" was held in Bishkek, where the installation of reverse vending machines with a bonus system for collecting plastic bottles and aluminum packaging was discussed. Participants of the event, representing both business and government structures, considered joint measures against plastic pollution.
The Ministry of Nature reported that the main locations for installing reverse vending machines include retail chains, markets, gas stations, food courts, and educational institutions. According to the organizers, this will help the population get used to separate waste collection.
Emphasis was also placed on preparing for the implementation of the new KR Law "On the Restriction of the Circulation of Polymer Film Bags and Plastic Products".

"The problem of plastic pollution is global, but with innovative solutions and cooperation, Kyrgyzstan can take a leading position in Central Asia in terms of environmental initiatives," noted Deputy Minister Jenish Seydaliev.
Additionally, the creation of a state brand "Green Entrepreneur" is being considered, which will help raise the ESG rating among entrepreneurs and highlight companies that are already demonstrating high environmental responsibility and implementing circular economy practices.
The meeting concluded with a decision to launch joint pilot projects. Participants confirmed their readiness for long-term cooperation aimed at reducing the plastic footprint and transitioning to a zero pollution model in Kyrgyzstan.
Among those participating in the discussion were First Deputy Minister Jenish Seydaliev, as well as leading market players, including LLC "Shoro," LLC "Coca-Cola Bishkek Bottlers," LLC "Asia Retail," LLC "Umai Group," LLC "Partner Oil," and companies engaged in polymer recycling.
