In Naryn, on March 21, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, opened a new building for the city’s Internal Affairs Department. This event was part of his working trip to the Naryn region.

During the ceremonial speech, the president noted that the Internal Affairs Department building, which had been operating since 1983 in an old facility, had fulfilled its duties for many years.

Two years ago, Minister Ulan Niyazbekov presented information to the president about the situation in the city police of Naryn and proposed to consider the possibility of constructing a new building.

In response, the head of state instructed to allocate funds from the budget for the creation of a modern building that would provide appropriate conditions for employees and enhance security in Naryn.

“In 1 year and 7 months, a new four-story building with an area of 1500 square meters was constructed, equipped with all necessary conditions. Today we are opening this facility,” the president noted.

In addition, as part of today’s event, 26 more facilities related to the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be opened online,” added Sadyr Japarov.

He also reported that 6 more facilities will be opened in the Naryn region — rural police stations in the At-Bashinsky and Naryn districts.

“These newly opened stations have a unique design: on one side, there are office spaces, and on the other, conditions have been created for employees and their families to live. This has been done to eliminate housing problems and frequent relocations, so that employees can focus on their work,” the president emphasized.

He added that similar facilities are also being prepared for launch in other regions, such as Batken, Osh, Issyk-Kul, Jalal-Abad, and Chui in an online format.

“The opening of new buildings that meet modern standards demonstrates care for maintaining public order and serves as additional motivation for law enforcement officers,” the president noted.

According to him, the introduction of these facilities will significantly enhance the level of public safety and improve the quality of services for the population.

The president also emphasized that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is actively implementing modern digital technologies. Video surveillance systems and the “Digital Police” and “Safe Country” projects have significantly increased the level of security and response speed to offenses.

He noted that the construction and equipping of new Ministry of Internal Affairs buildings, including those located in remote areas, represents a new stage in ensuring law and order.

Sadyr Japarov stressed that ensuring the safety of citizens is a priority, which is crucial for the stability of the country, attracting investments, and improving the quality of life.

Addressing law enforcement officers, the president urged them to perform their duties diligently, strengthen legality, and improve the quality of service to the population.

After the official part, the president familiarized himself with the working conditions of the Internal Affairs Department employees, inspected the offices, duty room, and other premises, as well as the infrastructure of the new building.

During the inspection, he emphasized the importance of digitizing the Ministry of Internal Affairs, noting that the implementation of modern technologies is key to ensuring safety and increasing the efficiency of police work.

The head of state highlighted the importance of video surveillance systems, which have already demonstrated their effectiveness in preventing offenses and responding promptly to incidents.

In this regard, the president instructed the Ministry of Internal Affairs to gradually increase the number of cameras from the current 5,000 to 20,000 across the country, integrating them into a unified monitoring system.

Additionally, the president urged the Ministry of Internal Affairs leadership to strictly adhere to the norms of law and principles of justice, emphasizing that citizens' trust in the authorities directly depends on the transparent operation of law enforcement agencies.

At the end of the event, Japarov met with veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, expressing gratitude for their many years of service and contribution to maintaining law and order, emphasizing the importance of their experience for training future personnel.
