Throughout his amateur career in the middleweight division, Golovkin demonstrated outstanding results, having fought 350 matches and won 345 of them, while representing the Kazakhstan national team for a long time. In professional boxing, he became one of the most influential champions of the 21st century, competing in 45 fights, 37 of which ended in knockout. He also won the WBA, WBC, IBF, IBO, and The Ring titles.
His unique streak of 23 consecutive knockouts, 21 successful title defenses, and over 90% of wins by knockout confirmed his status as one of the greatest boxers of modern times.
Currently, Golovkin holds high positions: he is the president of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan and the head of the World Boxing Federation, becoming the first representative of Kazakhstan at such a level in an international sports organization.
