On the second day of the Ivan Yarygin Cup in freestyle wrestling, athletes from Kyrgyzstan were unable to achieve success in the fight for medals.

On January 30, five wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan competed in the tournament.

The best result was shown by Arslan Budajapov, who reached the quarterfinals in the 79 kg category. He won matches against wrestlers from Dagestan and Cuba, but in the quarterfinals, he was defeated by a representative from the Bryansk region, who, in turn, was unable to reach the finals, thus depriving Budajapov of a chance for a bronze medal.

Aruuke Kadyrbek kyzy, competing in the 53 kg weight category, managed to win against Aziza Keldibekova but then lost to a Russian wrestler.

Elina Karabalaeva (53 kg) and Tancholpon Kybalybekova (57 kg) also could not overcome their initial matches and finished their participation in the tournament without medals.

On the first day of the tournament, three female athletes from Kyrgyzstan also competed but were unable to win any awards.
