The competition took place on February 28, and Nurtayeva competed in the weight category up to 72 kg, where 7 wrestlers were divided into two groups.
In the group stage, the Kyrgyzstani athlete achieved three victories over opponents from Bulgaria and India, which allowed her to take first place and advance to the semifinals.
In the semifinal match, Nurtayeva won against Polish athlete Wiktoria Choluż, but in the final, she lost to Kazakh wrestler Zhamila Bakbergenova.
Thus, Nurzhat Nurtayeva finished in second place and won a silver medal.
It is worth noting that on February 27, other Kyrgyz athletes also achieved success: Meirim Jumanaazarova won silver, while Gulnura Tashtanbekova took bronze.
