Kyrgyz boxer Arvaz Akhmadi has reached the quarterfinals of the international tournament taking place in Bangkok, Thailand.

The competition, called the World Boxing Futures Cup, is intended for athletes under 19 years old and is currently being held in the capital of Thailand.

Akhmadi competes in the weight category up to 70 kg, where 40 boxers are participating.

The tournament for the Kyrgyz athlete began in the 1/16 finals, where he won against a boxer from the Czech Republic, and then on March 12, he faced a representative from Hungary.

During the match, Akhmadi managed to knock his opponent down in the first round, after which the referee decided to continue the fight.

Thus, the Kyrgyz athlete secured his second victory and advanced to the quarterfinals.

1/16 finals:
