Judoists performed poorly at the Grand Slam tournament in Georgia

The Kyrgyzstan judo team was unable to demonstrate successful results at the international tournament held in Georgia.

The Grand Slam tournament took place in Tbilisi from March 20 to 22.

The team consisted of five athletes who competed under the guidance of head coach Erkin Ibragimov.

Erbol Abasbekov (up to 66 kg) lost in his first match to Uzbek athlete Azizbek Ortikov, while Yrysheldy Jumabekov (up to 73 kg) was unable to secure a victory against Turkey's Muhammed Demirel. Nurmukhamed Bakirdinov (up to 73 kg) also suffered a defeat, failing to overcome Giorgi Terashvili from Georgia. Erjan Kanatbekov (up to 90 kg) ended his competition after losing to Nurbek Murtazoev from Uzbekistan.

The team also saw the debut of Georgian legionnaire Mikheili Bekauri (up to 100 kg), who began his competition in the round of 16 but could not advance further, losing to Aristos Michael from Cyprus.
