Work has begun in Kyrgyzstan on the development of a national digital tourist application called Tunduk Travel.
Today, the concept and technical assignment for the Tunduk Travel project were signed at the Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyzstan, marking the official start of its implementation.
The documents were signed as part of the cooperation between the Department of Tourism, the Fund for Support and Development of Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, and JSC "Tunduk".
During the event, a trilateral memorandum of cooperation in the field of digitalization of the tourism sector was also concluded, which formalizes the intentions of the parties to jointly develop digital solutions, create a unified tourism ecosystem, and coordinate the implementation of modern technologies in the tourism industry.
The signing of the concept, technical assignment, and memorandum is a significant step in forming the legal and organizational basis for the systematic digital transformation of the tourism sector in Kyrgyzstan.
The Department of Tourism noted that this event is of great importance. "The Tunduk Travel project is designed to create a single digital window for tourism in the Kyrgyz Republic, which will unite government services, business services, and digital tools in a secure ecosystem," the department stated, adding that the implementation of the project will:
- simplify and digitize the tourist's journey — from entering the country to completing the trip;
- enhance the convenience, safety, and quality of tourist services;
- ensure transparency and an analytical basis for government structures;
- create new opportunities for the development of the tourism business;
- reduce administrative and service barriers in the industry.
