Edil Baysalov at the summit in Qatar called for help for the people of Palestine

At the first meeting of the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty, which took place as part of the Second World Summit on Social Development in Doha (Qatar), the Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Edil Baisalov, spoke. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

In his speech, he noted that millions of people around the world suffer from poverty, hunger, and various deprivations.

He also added: "We must do everything possible to alleviate their suffering. I especially want to express solidarity with the people of Palestine, who are currently suffering from a completely artificially created famine — this is a form of international crime."

Baisalov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan supports the goals of the Global Alliance aimed at eradicating poverty and ensuring food security for all. He noted that humanity cannot remain indifferent when millions of people are deprived of the basic right to life and food.

Note The Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty was founded in 2024 at the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro with the aim of promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals: eradicating poverty and hunger. Currently, the alliance includes 104 countries.
