Elections to the ЖК. More than 26,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan voted abroad

Voting abroad as part of the early elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh concluded on December 1 at 10:00 Bishkek time, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

In the last instance, six polling stations located in the USA closed — in cities such as Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, New York, and San Francisco.

This year, 26,066 citizens of Kyrgyzstan participated in the elections, which is almost three times more compared to the previous parliamentary elections in 2021, when 9,826 people cast their votes. For the convenience of voters, 100 polling stations were opened in 89 cities across 34 countries.

The voting was conducted in accordance with the current legislation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic provided round-the-clock coordination of the work of foreign polling stations.
