The President summarized the results of meetings in Islamabad
The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, announced a new stage in the relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan following his negotiations with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, held in Islamabad.
He expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, noting that this visit was the first presidential visit to Pakistan in the last two decades and the first since his election in 2021.
“We discussed key issues of cooperation between our countries, including trade, investment, transport, and education. An important aspect is the CASA-1000 project, which will serve as a strategic link in the energy integration of Central and South Asia and will bring tangible benefits to both sides. In addition, we reaffirmed our determination to jointly combat terrorism, extremism, and transnational crime, coordinating the actions of the relevant authorities to ensure stability and security in the region,” Japarov noted.
Pakistan received an invitation to be an honorary guest at the SCO summit, which will take place in Bishkek in the fall of 2026, as well as at the VI World Nomad Games and events in honor of Kyrgyzstan's Independence Day.
“The agreements reached will contribute to strengthening friendly relations between our peoples and will elevate cooperation to a new level,” the president added.
