On October 27, President Sadyr Japarov opened a new training center for the special unit "Alpha" of the State Committee for National Security in the Jalal-Abad region. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

In his address, the president reminded that the specialized service dealing with counter-terrorism was established in Kyrgyzstan on October 27, 1992. Since then, "Alpha" has tirelessly fulfilled its tasks in ensuring national security.

Sadyr Japarov emphasized the rich combat experience of the unit, including operations in the Batken region in 1999 aimed at destroying international armed groups and freeing hostages. He noted that "Alpha" also actively participates in the fight against extremism and organized crime, as well as in the detention of key figures of drug syndicates and terrorist groups.

During the event, the president familiarized himself with the training conditions, visited tactical exercises aimed at neutralizing conditional terrorists and freeing hostages, and observed practical training using FPV drones. He noted the high level of training of the fighters and the modern equipment of the unit.
