During his visit to the Leilek district of the Batken region, Tashiev expressed dissatisfaction that only a few pre-selected residents of the village of Maksat were allowed to attend the meeting. He stated that the real problems of the people were not presented, as other local residents were not allowed onto the site.
Addressing Akim Zhenishbek Asylbek, he emphasized: "I need real residents, not a pre-prepared picture," calling for immediate opening of doors for all who wish to participate in the discussion.
According to Tashiev, local officials attempted to organize a meeting with "on-duty" representatives, which is unacceptable. "I come not to observe a performance, but to hear the people," he added.
The head of the State National Security Committee also noted that restricting citizens' ability to address government representatives is unacceptable. "I specifically arrived early to understand what difficulties the residents are facing," he noted.
During his working trip, Tashiev checked the construction of a new residential complex intended for families relocated from areas affected by the clarification of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. He confirmed that the state has fulfilled all its obligations to the resettlers.
"Fortunately, no family has been left without a roof over their heads. We have completed the work," he noted.
Residents raised issues concerning housing distribution, social assistance, passenger transportation, and the state of infrastructure. For each appeal, Tashiev provided specific instructions to local authorities, reminding them of their responsibilities.
"If these tasks are not completed by tomorrow, people will hold me accountable. Therefore, every decision must be implemented," he emphasized.
In conclusion of his meeting, the head of the State National Security Committee noted that all issues raised during the meeting have been taken under control, and the authorities are obliged to conduct their work openly, honestly, and in constant interaction with the population.
