At the "Manas" airport in Kyrgyzstan, a visa for members of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) delegation was blocked. The group included Ilya Nuzov, who heads the Eastern Europe and Central Asia department, as well as Rafael Lopuuhin and another representative. This information was received from participants of the organization "Bir Duyno - Kyrgyzstan".

According to their data, the country's border guards did not allow FIDH experts into their territory. This happened just ten days after Russia added FIDH to the list of undesirable organizations. According to participants of "Bir Duyno", representatives of the border service confiscated the passports of the human rights defenders without explanation and then deported them. No official notification with legal grounds for this decision was provided, which violates procedural rights and principles of due process, making it difficult to challenge the decision.

The delegation was supposed to participate in the 19th International Documentary Film Festival on Human Rights "Bir Duyno - Kyrgyzstan", which takes place in Bishkek from December 12 to 16, as well as in Laboratories dedicated to the current situation regarding human rights and freedoms in the country.

The ban on entry for human rights defenders is a serious violation of their rights to freedom of movement, expression, and association.

The organization "Bir Duyno - Kyrgyzstan" expresses its concern regarding this situation. The festival organizers emphasize that the denial of access to international experts creates obstacles for open discussions on human rights issues, undermines the principles of transparency and cultural exchange, and can be seen as pressure on civil society.

The festival organizing committee and FIDH call on the Kyrgyz authorities to immediately provide official reasons for the denial of entry and deportation, as well as to comply with international human rights obligations.

In the press service of the Border Service of the KR, Kaktus.media noted that the decision to deny this group of citizens entry was made in full compliance with the legislation.

According to them, Ilya Nuzov was granted entry permission, while the other members of the delegation were issued refusal acts, formalized in accordance with established rules.
