“Historical Self-Dissolution”: the deputies in the Jogorku Kenesh remained the same, even the speaker

The deputies have distributed offices and formed new groups

Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu continues to hold his position, as reported by deputy Dastan Bekeshev on social media.

The first meeting of the VIII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh is scheduled for today, December 17.

“Some deputies have already taken their workplaces and are discussing the creation of groups. Currently, five deputy associations have been formed. I also decided to join one of the groups, as it simplifies addressing voters' issues. Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu remains the speaker, and his deputies are young deputies. Instead of the fuel and energy committee, a committee on science and education will be created,” Bekeshev reported.

It is worth noting that the Jogorku Kenesh initiated the process of self-dissolution; however, in the extraordinary elections held on November 30, the majority of returning deputies once again took their seats in parliament.
