The chairman of the joint committee, Ulan Primov, previously reported on the proposal from the parliamentary groups to create the position of first vice-speaker along with two vice-speakers.
The candidates for the positions were determined as follows: the "Eldik" group proposed Chingiz Azhibaev for the position of first vice-speaker, while the "Adilet Kyrgyzstan" group nominated Zhyldyz Talaibek kyzy for the vice-speaker position. The "Mekenchil" group presented the candidacy of Karim Khandzhez for a similar position.
According to the chairman of the counting commission, Kubanychbek Samakov, the results of the secret ballot were distributed as follows:
- Chingiz Azhibaev received 82 votes "for" and 5 "against";
- Zhyldyz Talaibek kyzy - 85 "for" and 2 "against";
- Karim Khandzhez - 73 "for" and 8 "against";
- 6 deputies did not participate in the voting.
