Starting December 27, viewers will be able to watch a new historical series titled "Kara-Kyrgyz" on the national television channel and in the online cinema "Etnomedia".
According to the Ministry of Culture, this series covers an important historical period between 1917 and 1924, telling the story of the Kyrgyz people in the context of events following the Urkun, when a power vacuum was created and the struggle for national statehood began. The central figure of the plot is 16-year-old Jusup Abdrakhmanov, and it also features prominent historical figures such as Abdykadir Orozbekov, Ishehnaly Arabayev, Imanaly Aydarbekov, and Abdykerim Sydykov.
The series was produced by the company "ARNA" with financial support from the state institution "Kyrgyzserial". The first season is planned to have four episodes.
The project was directed by Suyun Otkeev, and the executive producer was Zhenishgul Uzbekova.
It is important to note that "Kara-Kyrgyz" is a significant artistic series dedicated to the history, heroism, and fate of the Kyrgyz people.
