Kozhogulov Kamchybek Chonmurunovich
Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Full Member of the Engineering Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Born in 1950. In 1972, he graduated from the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.
He was a member of the commission on science, technology, and new technologies of the Legislative Assembly Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Deputy Chairman of the Expert Council of the National Accreditation Commission of the Kyrgyz Republic, a member of the problem council section "Earth Science," and a member of the Scientific Council at the Engineering Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Currently, he is the Deputy Director for Scientific Work at the Institute of Physics and Mechanics of Rock Masses of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He is a specialist in the field of mining, researching methods and means of determining the natural stress state of rock masses, methods of tunneling, and predicting rock bursts during underground development of mineral deposits. His scientific activity is related to three problems of rock mechanics and underground development of deposits.
The first direction involves identifying patterns of stress distribution in rock masses with varying degrees of fracturing in mountainous folded regions. The second direction is related to solving problems of safe and efficient development of mineral deposits. The works of the third direction are dedicated to the problems of predicting and preventing rock bursts and landslides during the development of mountainous territories.
He has been awarded the badge "Winner of Socialist Competition," "Shock Worker of the Tenth Five-Year Plan," a commemorative Honorary Certificate from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kyrgyzstan, the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz SSR, and the Central Committee of the Komsomol of Kyrgyzstan, as well as an Honorary Certificate of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Under his scientific supervision, 1 doctoral and 8 candidate dissertations have been defended.
He has published more than 140 scientific works, including 3 monographs and a textbook on the course "Theomechanics," and is the author of 5 inventions.
