Kyrgyz. Born in the village of Bokombaev, Ton District, Issyk-Kul Region.
Graduated from Almaty State Conservatory (1970), postgraduate studies at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the Kirghiz SSR.
Worked as a teacher, senior teacher, associate professor at the Department of History and Theory of Music at KGII, head of the Department of Art Studies at the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, coordinator (dean) of the Faculty of Socio-Cultural Service, Advertising, and Tourism at the Institute of European Civilizations of the I. Arabayev Kyrgyz State Pedagogical University, since 1995 - Professor at the Department of Music History at KNK.
Specialist in the field of musical art and culture.
Academician of the International Public Aitmatov Academy (1994).
Awarded the medal of the USSR.
Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic (1993). Published more than 70 scientific works, including 4 books and 1 monograph.
Under his supervision, 1 candidate dissertation has been defended.
