Seydene Moldoke kyzy (born 1922) — an outstanding storyteller, one of the few women-manaschis. She was born in the village of Kotoromo in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region. She associates the beginning of her storytelling career with a famous prophetic dream in which the great akyn Toktogul appeared to her, followed by the hero Semetey himself. Since the mid-1950s, Seydene has been invited to Frunze to participate in competitions and reviews of folk art and for recording.
Seydene has entered the history of epic creativity as a semeteychi, as the second part of the trilogy of the great epic — "Semetey" — was recorded from her, which is kept in the manuscript collection of the National Academy of Sciences.
Seydene can narrate without stopping for a long time. She sings in a low, soft voice, unhurriedly, without emotional outbursts, predominantly using the third and fourth types of epic recitation.
According to manas scholars, Moldoke kyzy was influenced by the cycle of variants of "Semetey," published in 1959 by the Institute of Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences. At the same time, it is evident that her natural gift allowed her to embody the world of the epic in her own unique interpretation.
