- Central Asia is becoming a crucial geoeconomic hub connecting China, Russia, South Asian countries, the Middle East, and Europe.

These aspects are highlighted in the draft Strategy for the Development of Industry in Kyrgyzstan until 2030, developed by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.

This document emphasizes that major players on the global and regional stage are beginning to pay attention to Central Asian countries and are actively involving them in international projects, such as the Chinese initiative "One Belt, One Road" and the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor.

The increasing problems related to climate change necessitate a transition from hydrocarbons to cleaner resources. There is a growing demand for rare earth metals used in green energy and energy storage systems, as well as intensified competition for water resources.

For a long time, Central Asia focused on raw material exports. However, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are now actively developing industries such as machine engineering, metallurgy, construction materials production, agro-processing, and electronics.

Kyrgyzstan, while still in a catching-up role in the industrial development process, has significant potential in the areas of light industry, renewable energy sources, tourism, processing, and construction materials production, according to experts from the Ministry of Economy.
