The Kyrgyz Delegation Participated in the 21st General Conference of UNIDO

From November 23 to 27, 2025, the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) took place in Riyadh, where the Kyrgyz Republic was represented by a delegation led by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Ulukbek Maripov, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the conference on November 25, Ambassador Maripov participated in an important dialogue on the topic "Connecting Europe and Central Asia with the Arab Region for Sustainable Industrial Growth: Technology and Investment Transfer." In his speech, he articulated Kyrgyzstan's positions on the opportunities for expanding interregional cooperation within the framework of the UNIDO Country Partnership Program (CPP), which was signed and launched in 2025.

The head of the Kyrgyz delegation noted that the CPP opens new horizons for comprehensive reforms and partnerships, which fully aligns with the National Development Strategy of the country until 2030. He also emphasized the significant potential for interaction with Arab states in areas such as renewable energy, agro-processing, industrial modernization, digital technologies, and innovations.

At the side event "The Transformative Role of a Just Energy Transition for Industrial Development," which took place on November 24, Ambassador Maripov reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan's commitment to the global agenda of sustainable and just energy transition, highlighting the development of green energy and environmental safety, as well as promoting sustainable economic growth.
