The 30th Conference of the Parties (COP-30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change began on November 6, 2025, in Belém, Federative Republic of Brazil. This was reported on the ministry's Facebook page.
Delegates from 143 countries are participating in this high-level meeting, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres and President of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Mongolia is represented by a delegation headed by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mönkhtushig Lkhanaajav.
At this significant meeting in Belém, located in the Amazon River basin, world leaders are discussing important issues related to enhancing countries' commitments to combat climate change, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, clarifying nationally determined contributions (NDCs), as well as coordinating cooperation and improving the financing system to support developing countries.
