The culinary provision for the summit (CS-30), which will be held in Belém, will be led by professional chef and indigenous rights advocate Taína Marajoara.
She noted that participants of the forum, including world leaders and ministers, will be offered food that "does no harm, does not pollute, and does not lead to diseases or conflicts."
“We will serve canjica — a traditional dish of the Marajoara people, which is still prepared in my home region as well as in other indigenous communities,” Taína Marajoara said. “We have arranged for a large quantity of açaí. We will also offer maniçoba — a dish typical of the state of Pará, made from cassava leaves boiled with pork for seven days. Additionally, there will be plenty of tucupi, jambu, and chili peppers. We intend to prepare tacacá, fish in tucupi, and pirarucu, procuring at least two tons of this fish.”
She also emphasized the importance of a cuisine based on the principles of climate justice.
Taína Marajoara added that food sovereignty is inextricably linked to the self-determination of indigenous peoples and environmental protection. She hopes that the climate conference in Brazil will promote the principle of legally recognizing the traditional territories of indigenous peoples as an important element of global climate policy.
The UN Climate Change Conference is a key forum for discussing and implementing the norms of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Kyoto Protocol, and the Paris Agreement. CS-30 will take place from November 10 to 21, 2025.
The Kyrgyz delegation at the summit will consist of Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov, Special Presidential Representative for the Implementation of the Decade of Action for Mountain Development Dinara Kemelova, and Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision Medet Mashiev.
