During the general debates of the session held on November 1, Nyamkhuu Ulambayar emphasized the importance of UNESCO in addressing global issues such as climate change and social inequality, as well as in promoting peace and sustainable development on the planet. The ambassador expressed unwavering support from Mongolia for the core values and mission of UNESCO. She also noted that the resolution "The History of Nomadic Civilizations," initiated by Mongolia, represents an important step in popularizing the cultural heritage of nomadic peoples and their contributions to the development of humanity.
Additionally, Mongolia announced its intention to nominate itself for membership in the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for the years 2025–2029, aiming for active participation in global initiatives to combat climate change and protect cultural and natural heritage. It was also reported that Mongolia plans to host the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification in Ulaanbaatar in 2026.
