The first meeting of the Malaysian-Kyrgyz Business Council took place in Kuala Lumpur

On December 8, the first founding meeting of the Malaysian-Kyrgyz Business Council took place in Kuala Lumpur. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the initiative to create the council was announced during the official visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, to Malaysia in June 2025.

The meeting was held at the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia with the participation of the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Malaysia, Anvar Anarbaev, as well as representatives of Malaysian business and embassy staff, including members of the Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In his speech, Ambassador Anarbaev noted that the establishment of this council would be an important step towards the systematic development of economic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia. He expressed confidence that the council would contribute to the growth of trade and investment cooperation, in accordance with previously reached agreements between the two countries.

It was also emphasized that the recent elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, conducted using modern technologies and in a transparent environment, contribute to strengthening stability and create favorable conditions for attracting foreign investments and activating business activities.

During the meeting, council members discussed key areas for further cooperation, including strengthening trade and economic ties, improving financial mechanisms, developing tourism and transport routes, educational cooperation, supporting investment projects, as well as promoting Kyrgyz products in the Malaysian market. Special attention was paid to the creation and expansion of sustainable direct contacts between the business communities of Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia.
