President Sadyr Japarov emphasized in an interview with "Kabar" that the transition to a 12-year educational system is a pressing requirement of our time.

He noted that this aligns with global standards and meets the challenges of the global education market.

“In the current conditions, we need to integrate our educational system into the international space. Neighboring countries have already completed or are in the process of transitioning to 12-year education. The first graduates of this system will receive their diplomas in 2029. Otherwise, our graduates who completed school under the old system will be forced to take additional courses to enroll in foreign universities,” the president added.

He also emphasized that the lack of access to the international educational environment could create significant difficulties in preparing specialists who meet the demands of the global labor market. “It is important to develop human capital that can compete on the global stage,” he noted.

According to him, the existing 10-11 year educational system has already fulfilled its purpose, focusing on a planned-command economy. Now, it is necessary to prepare qualified specialists for a market economy, and we cannot afford to lag behind these changes. This system also contributes to early professional self-determination, added Sadyr Japarov.
