He highlighted the importance of discussing issues of culture, behavior, and responsibility of people towards one another. The President noted that no reforms or laws will yield results without a change in the inner world of each individual.
“A new Kyrgyzstan is not just new buildings or production facilities; it is a new perspective on things, new values, and a public culture shaped by people who can think differently. In this context, it is important to ask ourselves: how do we relate to our heritage and nature?” he remarked.
According to Japarov, passing on everything we have to future generations in an unspoiled state is our duty. However, he expressed regret that we leave trash in the mountains and on the shores of lakes, which is a manifestation of irresponsibility. Despite the organized clean-up days, it is not enough, he emphasized.
Japarov also added that respect for nature should be instilled in every child, and parents should themselves be an example for them in this matter.
