The president noted that with the arrival of the new system, political corruption was supposed to disappear.
“We continue our fight against corruption and urge you to report any cases openly. If you have information, do not hesitate to share it,” he said.
According to Japarov, manifestations of corruption have been eliminated at the level of the Cabinet of Ministers, but the situation remains critical in akimats and city halls.
As an example, he cited the mayors of Tokmok and Kara-Balta. He also drew attention to the situation in the Novopavlovsky ayil okmotu, where for three consecutive years reports indicated the reconstruction of the same park, while funds were embezzled and no actual work was done.
“Now, those who participate in corrupt schemes will face punishment. The previous parliament has already adopted the necessary laws for this,” he added.
Japarov emphasized that the main reason for all these problems lies in the lack of transparency in parliamentary elections, where people came to office through corruption or connections.
“Let’s leave this in the past. From this moment on, we must strive to improve the political culture in the country. Political games must stop, and each of us should contribute to development. If we start to act, the people will follow us, and the political culture will gradually take root in society. People must stop selling their votes for money and gifts and start thinking about the future of their children and the nation, carefully choosing who to vote for,” the president concluded.
