At the IV People's Kurultai, President Sadyr Japarov emphasized the importance of demographic changes, viewing them as one of the key factors contributing to the sustainable and long-term development of Kyrgyzstan.

The head of state highlighted that demographic trends have a significant impact on the economy, social sphere, and security of the country. In his opinion, declining birth rates and an aging population could weaken the state's positions.

In this context, the president announced plans to expand state support measures for large families, especially those living in mountainous and hard-to-reach areas.

Starting from January 1, 2026, large families will be able to expect increased financial payments upon the birth of children. The amount of assistance will depend on the number of children in the family:

for the fourth child, 100,000 soms will be paid;

for the fifth — 600,000 soms;

for the seventh — 1 million soms;

for the eighth — 1 million 200 thousand soms;

for the ninth — 1 million 500 thousand soms;

for the tenth and each subsequent child — 2 million soms.

The president noted that similar measures had not been taken before and would require significant budgetary resources, but emphasized that such investments are justified and necessary in light of the existing demographic challenges.
