According to him, the current average salary for teachers is approximately 26,000 soms, and after adjustments, it will rise to 52,000 soms. The amount of earnings will depend on experience, workload, education, and the region in which the educator works.
“For example, in Bishkek, a young teacher without experience and with a pedagogical education will start earning 36,800 soms, which will amount to about 31,000 soms after tax deductions. In high-altitude areas, a mathematics teacher with 30 years of experience will be able to earn 97,600 soms, instead of the current 65,800,” the president noted.
As for doctors, their average salary currently stands at 31,500 soms, and it is expected to increase to 62,500 soms on April 1. After paying taxes, medical professionals will receive around 56,000 soms. A doctor working in a city clinic without experience will earn 42,100 soms, which will amount to about 35,000 soms net after deductions. In high-altitude areas, a top-category doctor with 30 years of experience will earn 91,700 soms, of which 75,700 soms will remain after taxes.
Increases will also affect cultural and sports workers. The average salary for artists currently stands at 20,700 soms, and it will rise to 46,500 soms on April 1, which will amount to about 39,000 soms net. Coaches will earn around 45,000 soms after the increase. The salaries of technical staff will increase on average by 80%, taking into account bonuses and a presidential compensation of 5,000 soms,” Japarov added.
It was previously reported that starting from April 1, 2026, the salaries of doctors and teachers will be increased by 50%.
