In Bishkek, the launch of the regional project "Green Cities" was discussed

Today, a meeting was held in Bishkek between the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

According to the ministry's press service, the discussions focused on the implementation of the regional project "Green Cities," which is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action of Germany.

This project covers three countries: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, with the main partner from Kyrgyzstan being the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision.

The project's goal is to develop international and regional cooperation, exchange best practices in green urban development, as well as enhance institutional capacity and create master plans for sustainable urban development. Within this initiative, activities are planned for experience exchange between the cities of the participating countries, development of climate solutions, and implementation of modern approaches to managing environmental processes.

The meeting participants expressed their intention to continue strengthening cooperation and implementing specific activities within the "Green Cities" project aimed at creating a sustainable and environmentally safe urban environment in the Kyrgyz Republic.
