During a working trip to the Osh region, the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision A. Toktobaev met with the Vice Mayor of Osh E. Toltoev, who reported on the progress of the reclamation of the city landfill and the project for the construction of a waste incineration plant. Representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources noted that the familiarization with these facilities took place directly at their implementation sites.

Continuing his trip, the minister also visited key ecological and infrastructure facilities in the region and held a meeting with the presidential envoy in the Osh region A. Kenzhebaev and the district akims.

The presentation of the main tasks and priorities of the ministry in the region was given by Deputy Minister A. Musaev, who emphasized the need for closer cooperation with local authorities.

During the meetings, district administrations raised important issues:

* simplification of procedures related to the felling of emergency and old trees;

* reduction of bureaucratic barriers and acceleration of processes for solving local issues;

* the need to develop sewage infrastructure in the densely populated Nookat district and attract donors for the implementation of these projects;

* issues concerning the protected natural area "Kara-Shoro," including the construction of roads and power lines;

* issues of tenants on the specially protected natural territory "Kyrgyz-Ata." A special commission will be established to address these issues.

As part of infrastructure development, the construction of an exhibition area, a checkpoint, and a parking zone is planned.

A. Musaev noted that changes are currently being made to government resolution No. 677 to improve the regulation of these areas.

The akim of the Uzgen district K. Abasov raised the issue of the need to revise the requirements for wastewater treatment facilities, including reducing percentage indicators, and also touched upon issues of land transformation.

The akim of the Alai district M. Shamyrcanov emphasized the problem of land degradation due to the development of deposits, highlighting the importance of attracting investments for the restoration of disturbed territories.

Special attention at the meeting was given to issues in the mining industry:

* improvement of the licensing procedure for the development of deposits in the Chon-Alai district;

* control over licensing considering the opinions of local residents;

* insufficient level of compensation payments for land reclamation, which does not cover the actual costs of restoration.

In conclusion, Toktobaev emphasized the importance of open and constructive dialogue with local authorities, confirming the ministry's readiness for joint work to solve the region's ecological problems.

The ministry is currently conducting a comprehensive inventory of all issued licenses for the development of deposits. This process is under the control of the leadership and is aimed at ensuring the legality and rational use of the country's natural resources.
