The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has confirmed the information about the launch of flying taxis in the country.
The process of implementing new transport solutions will take place in stages, based on the results of testing, the development of regulatory documentation, and the readiness of regions to invest in the corresponding infrastructure and services.
The agency noted that the project from Samara could become the basis for the first implementations. However, the mass development of flying taxis in major cities of Russia will depend on the successful completion of tests, the quality of regulatory acts, and the willingness of local authorities to invest in the necessary infrastructure.
As representatives of the ministry emphasized, the launch of tests in the Samara region will primarily serve to test technologies, organizational models, and mechanisms for interaction between business and government structures.
