As of today, Kyrgyzstan accounts for 5.8% of the total volume of Chinese investments in Central Asia, which is an increase compared to 4.2% in 2016. Investments from the PRC in Kyrgyzstan mainly go to the mining and processing industries: 34% (about $722 million) is directed to the raw materials sector, while 37% ($780 million) is allocated to the processing industry, the EDB clarified.

- Another important infrastructure project is the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which is being carried out with the participation of China Railway International.
Analysts note that "the projected line, which will be over 500 km long and will mostly pass through Kyrgyzstan, will become an important link in the transit route between China and the regions of the Middle East and Europe, significantly enhancing the country's transit potential."
Additionally, the EDB mentioned the Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection solid waste disposal plant located in Bishkek, as well as China's plans to build a coal logistics center, Xinjiang Dacheng Yuanlong Technology, in the Osh region.
