At the meeting of the "Ala-Too" deputy group, Azamat Kerimbek uulu, who heads the "Legprom" association, expressed concern that economic stagnation in Russia would negatively affect producers in Kyrgyzstan.

He reminded that the patent system for the sewing sector was introduced in 2003 and abolished in 2023, resulting in the registration of about 9,800 sewing workshops and individual entrepreneurs. However, since the beginning of 2023, 23,000 individual entrepreneurs have registered on the Wildberries platform and 7,000 on Ozon.

Kerimbek uulu noted that most of the remaining entrepreneurs remain in the shadow economy and urged them to come out: "Where are they if not in the market?"

He also added that while previously entrepreneurs could obtain a patent for 1,500-3,000 soms, there is now a unified tax.

"In our tax regime, there are two options: for wholesale and retail trade - 2% of turnover and a simplified system for producers - 0.25%. This is positive, but there is a negative side: there is no sales, all products are exported to Russia. In 2023, the share of online trading was 63%, and now it is already 92%. Marketplaces are taking customers away from offline markets. With the closure of borders with Russia on September 15, problems with sales arose, and logistics became more expensive — cargo prices increased from 50 to 200 soms. In 'Sadovoe' and 'Lyublino', there are already no goods from Kyrgyzstan, all of them have gone online," he emphasized.

Kerimbek uulu also reported that in 2023, former Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov personally met with Tatyana Kim, the founder of Wildberries, in Kyrgyzstan.

At that time, Tatyana Kim requested a land plot for a logistics center, to which the Kyrgyz authorities responded: "Yes." But after that, she went to Uzbekistan, where she quickly signed the necessary documents, and now a distribution center with an area of 100,000 square meters is being built near Tashkent, which is planned to be launched this year. "While we were inactive, neighboring Uzbekistan took advantage of the situation," he noted.

Kerimbek uulu also warned that economic stagnation is expected in Russia in 2026-2027: inflation will rise, wages will remain the same, and purchasing power will decrease. This, in turn, will affect Kyrgyzstan, leading to a reduction in orders and remittances. "It is important to approach the resolution of these issues seriously," he addressed the deputies.

Let us remind you that Wildberries opened a new logistics center in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, which includes two blocks with a total area of 53,000 square meters and is capable of processing up to 500,000 orders per day. According to Russian officials, Wildberries plans to create the largest logistics center in Uzbekistan with an area of 100,000 square meters, with investments in the project exceeding 11 billion rubles, which will create about 7,500 new jobs.
