The "Legprom" Association has requested an extension of work visas for citizens of Bangladesh employed in Kyrgyzstan, aiming to attract labor migrants to the country's sewing sector. This statement was made by a representative of the association during a meeting of the "Ala-Too" deputies' committee.

According to the representative, citizens of Bangladesh come to Kyrgyzstan under contracts, and they are officially employed, paying taxes. These labor migrants carry out their activities responsibly and within the legal framework.

“We would like to propose considering the possibilities of extending visas for labor migrants who are registered through companies. The contracts clearly specify the working conditions and duration of work,” she noted.

The association's representative also emphasized that if the visas are not extended, it could lead to disruptions in production processes.

The director of the "Legprom" Association, Azamat Kerimbek uulu, pointed out the issue of some employers not adhering to contract conditions, which leads to a shortage of housing for foreign citizens. At the same time, he noted that there are companies that strictly follow the rules and pay taxes. According to him, compliance with all conditions helps reduce labor costs.

“In messengers, they share information about salaries of $500-600. In the evening, they pack their things and leave. We submit applications, and such workers become illegal. The situation has worsened: foreign workers are now less qualified than local seamstresses who move from one workshop to another. But it should be noted that law enforcement agencies are responding to these issues,” he added, emphasizing the need for regulation in this area.
