According to the Ministry of Economy's report, the volume of foreign economic turnover of the Kyrgyz Republic from January to November 2025 amounted to $14 billion, which is 12.2% less compared to the same period in 2024.

Of this volume, exports accounted for 18.5%, while imports made up 81.5%. The ministry emphasizes that the decrease in foreign trade is related to a reduction in export supplies.

The total volume of goods exported amounted to $2.6 billion, representing a decline of 43.5%. Excluding gold, exports fell by 19.7%, totaling $1.9 billion.

The main factor contributing to the ongoing decline in exports is gold, which accounts for 26.3% of total exports, the ministry noted.

Additionally, the decrease in demand from key trading partners such as Russia and Kazakhstan has also negatively impacted export figures.

The Ministry of Economy added that the reduction in the export of investment goods, including machinery and equipment, has also significantly affected total exports.

Furthermore, in 2025, temporary restrictions were imposed on the export of certain types of raw materials to support the domestic market, which also reduced export revenue and affected the overall export dynamics.

Imports during the same period amounted to $11.4 billion, which is 0.5% more compared to January-November 2024, the Ministry of Economy added.
